Bear market survival kit was basically salary + no ego

Every fancy answer I had in 2021 got stripped down to two boring realities in the bad stretch: I needed outside income, and I needed to stop trying to win back old portfolio highs with clever trades. Once I accepted that, the whole thing got less theatrical.
