small telescope update: planets are beautiful, also tiny little trolls

Finally got a few steady-ish nights with my 6 inch dob. Jupiter looked great for a minute, Saturn made me laugh out loud, and then seeing turned mushy and everything became a wobbly coin again. Amateur astronomy is such a mix of awe and getting humbled by air you can't even see.

"beautiful, also tiny little trolls" sums up planetary observing perfectly.

That one crisp Saturn view pays rent for like six mediocre sessions.

Collimation check helped me a lot when I thought seeing was the only issue.

Did that before sunset actually! Sometimes the sky just says not tonight
