TSLA is the stock I argue with even when I'm not holding it

I sold the last of mine a while back and yet somehow it still lives rent free in my head. The bull case is obvious: brand, manufacturing, optionality, maybe energy matters more than people think. The bear case is also obvious: competition, margins, personality risk, everyone already knows the story.

Feels like the cleanest example of a stock where your position ends up saying more about your tolerance for narrative than your spreadsheet.

Every TSLA thread ends up being about the CEO and then nobody remembers to discuss inventory.

Energy/storage gets hand-waved too much in my opinion.

Agreed it deserves more attention. I just struggle with what number to put on it without turning into a novelist.

I was bullish the cars, bearish the multiple, and somehow still managed to lose money on options. Inspiring stuff.

Owning TSLA is basically choosing a personality for six months.

The company can execute and the stock can still be wrong for you. More people need that sentence tattooed on their app.
