for senior dogs, stairs or ramp? which one did they actually use

11-year-old french bulldog, mild back pain, still insists on hopping onto the couch like a stuntman. Bought steps last year and he stared at them like modern art. Considering a ramp but my living room is already one big orthopedic apology.

If you do a ramp, get one with better traction than the cheap carpet strips. Mine slipped once and lost trust instantly.

Short-legged dogs often do better with ramps than little stairs, at least in my house.
