started at 19 with grocery-store checks and pure stubbornness

Not posting this as inspiration poster content. Just for the teenagers/lost early-20s people lurking here. I opened my Roth at 19 after closing shifts at Kroger and threw in 40 bucks, then 60, then 25, then whatever.

At 25 I'm at about 38k invested:
US index 70%
international 20%
bitcoin 5%
cash 5%

No family money, community college first, still driving an ancient Civic. Tiny starts count. That's it.
