people who send 3 minute voice notes...why

Genuine question, not hate. My cousin sends voice notes like she's launching a podcast. I can never listen right away because I'm usually on a train or at work. Is there some benefit I'm missing besides hearing tone?

Short voice notes are fine. Anything over 45 seconds should come with chapter markers.

I use them only when walking the dog. If I type, I walk into a pole. So there is one niche defense.
