bought the “cheap” stock instead of the boring ETF and learned what cheap can mean

You know that beginner move where a stock is down a lot so it *looks* like value? Yeah. I did that with a consumer name because the share price seemed 'on sale' compared with where it used to trade. It kept getting cheaper.

I would've been better off buying the ETF I already understood.
