I changed one thing and suddenly photos made sense before coffee
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. cats got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.
I tried this in Nairobi with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the prototype for a while.
I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions

This has cozy competence written all over it. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot

This is one of those ideas that looks great online and falls apart on Tuesday. The Cape Town example makes it feel concrete

I would not call it wrong, just incomplete. I would write it down before changing anything else

Love the tiny experiment energy. My friend tried it in Mexico City and had the opposite result

beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. That is where the boring checklist helps

I would not call it wrong, just incomplete. This is more useful on a tired lunch break than on a perfect day

I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option. The follow-through matters more than the perfect plan

you explained the tradeoff realy clearly. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near my desk

that is fair, but I still worry about maintenance

Honestly great taste. My only addition is to make the first step visible
