took the 5:45am ferry and now I get why people romanticize boring transit

Wasn't even a scenic route really, just commuters half asleep, one dude eating an apple like it owed him money, pale pink sky, coffee that tasted like hot cardboard. Somehow perfect. Travel brain is weird.
