apartment people: how did you get the mid-meeting barking under control?

My cattle-dog-ish rescue is lovely 90% of the day and then loses her mind at one hallway thump while I'm on camera with clients. We've done mat work, treats for quiet, white noise. It is a little better. I need hope more than judgment lol.

I moved my desk farther from the entry and weirdly that alone cut the barking in half.

Ask your vet if anxiety is part of it. Not saying medicate first, just don't white-knuckle for a year if she's genuinely panicking.

Frosted window film by the door sidelights helped more than any cue for us.

Combination approach here: sound machine, stuffed toppl before calls, and I stopped trying to hush after the first bark. Reward the pause instead.

The rewarding the pause piece is where I probably get sloppy. I appreciate this.
