anyone introduce a 12-week kitten to a very chill adult and still get surprise grumpiness?

Our older cat is usually unbothered by everything: guests, thunder, vacuum, movers. So I assumed kitten intro would be easy mode. Instead she's being politely crabby and I think I got overconfident. Not asking for medical advice, just calibration from people who've been through it.

Yes. Different kind of disruption entirely.

Confidence with vacuums sadly does not transfer to confidence with babies.

A chill adult can still be like 'why is there a toddler here.'

Polite grumpiness is still grumpiness but it's workable. Keep going slow.

'why is there a toddler here' is exactly her face lately

That face can last a bit and still turn out totally fine.

My calmest cat took the longest because he liked routine more than I realized.
