Fees are eating my \$20 buys alive

I wanted to start super small and do frequent buys, but once I actualy looked at the fees I felt like I was tipping the exchange more than funding my own stack.

How do people with modest budgets handle this? Less frequent buys? Different platform? Just accept it as beginner friction?

Spreads matter too, not just the line item labeled fee

Usually less frequent buys helps. Weekly vs daily can make a surprising difference

The first lesson of small DCA is that convenience has a price

Apparently my convenience budget was more optimistic than my actual budget

I batch into one buy every two weeks because otherwise it felt silly

Check whether your platform has an advanced/trader interface with lower fees. Some bury it
