Forgot the memo/tag on a transfer. Am I cooked?

Sent a small amount to an exchange deposit address and only afterward realized there was a memo/tag field I completely ignored because my brain was focused on the address.

Support ticket is in. Just wondering how doomed this usually is in beginner-land.

I've seen people get funds back after a week or two. Not fast, but not hopeless.

Not necessarily doomed, just annoying. Exchanges can sometimes recover it manually if the amount meets their policy.

Prepare for slow support and maybe a processing fee if they do recover it.
