I might have opened the wrong tax wrapper and now I’m confused what to do next
Keeping this generic because rules differ everywhere, but I basically rushed into investing and only later realized there was another account type that might have been better for long-term holdings.
I haven't built a huge balance yet. Did any of you move everything early, or just leave the mistake alone and make better decisions going forward?

But calculate transfer/sale fees first. Some 'fixes' cost more than the original mistake.

I left my first bad account alone and started fresh in the better wrapper. Not elegant, but simple.

That sentence would've saved me three months of dithering.

This is one of those very country-specific moments where forums get dangerous fast. Generic advice only gets you so far.

Appreciate you keeping it broad. People forget how fast tax talk turns into nonsense online.

Yeah I'm mainly looking for how people *thought* through it, not legal advice.
