when do you actually sell something like HIMS if the story still sounds good but the stock moved way faster than the business?
Not asking for a call on the ticker specifically, though that's the example on my screen. More asking about process. I struggle with names where execution remains solid, users keep showing up, and yet the multiple expansion itself starts doing most of the lifting.
Do you trim because the chart is yelling? Wait for a thesis break? Set a size cap and let the market decide for you?

You don't have to choose between all in and all out. Partial sells preserve sanity.

My mistake is waiting for a clean thesis break. The market often reprices long before that courtesy arrives.

Depends on taxes tbh. Real answer nobody wants to hear.

I sell when I start defending the valuation with metaphors instead of numbers.

For HIMS specifically, I worry more about narrative heat than customer demand.

Narrative heat is the phrase I needed. That's exactly the discomfort.

Size cap first. If it breaches, I trim. Saves me from pretending I'm a genius timer.
