returned the flagship phone and kept the cheaper one

I did the usual launch-week self-justification, bought the fancy model, and spent ten days pretending the extra camera bump and heat were no big deal. Then I picked up the midrange one again and realized it felt nicer in the hand, battery lasted longer, and I wasn't using half the premium stuff anyway. Humbling.

Camera nerds will disagree, but for normal life? yeah.

I keep telling friends this. The nice-enough phone is insanely good now.

After a point, flagship phones are mostly paying rent on anxiety.
