boarding guilt is real

Dropped my cat at a boarding place for 4 nights because my usual sitter moved away. Clean facility, nice staff, separate rooms, all fine on paper. I still drove home feeling like I had betrayed a tiny roommate who pays no rent.

I always feel horrible at dropoff and then the report card says "ate well, demanded brushing" and I calm down.

Some cats truly do better with a sitter, some do better where there are people around all day. It's annoyingly individual.
