A gentle rant about street and expectations after 6 tries
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where editing stopped feeling new.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. portraits got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.
Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the routine for a while.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

This is the gentle version of my rant.

The boring logistics are always the hidden part. I would test it for 6 days before deciding.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. I would test it for 8 days before deciding.

@sleepy-57 I needed the reminder to start smaller.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. The chaotic constraint is probably the real story.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly.

Thanks for making it less intimidating.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

Respectfully, I see it the other way.

Honestly, this is a little too vague to be useful. I am curious whether portraits still feels good next month.
