I found my old wallet file but not the password

this is such a specific form of self-own. I have the old laptop backup. I have the wallet file. I have a strong suspicion I used one of three password themes from that era all of which now seem invented by a stranger.

Not asking for miracle hacks. Mostly curious if anyone else has gone through the psychological stages of almost-access

Document your current setup better because future-you is clearly a menace

I had an old encrypted drive like that. Spent a weekend trying old patterns and then had to walk away.

Almost-access is worse than total loss somehow. The hope keeps poking you.

'invented by a stranger' is exactly how old passwords feel
