for people in therapy, do you actually do the homework right away or let it marinate first

My therapist gave me a thought log sheet and I had the immediate teenage urge to ignore it even though I literally pay to be there. Curious how other people make themselves engage without turning it into another perfection project.

Voice notes helped me more than formal sheets. I told my therapist and we adapted.
