turns out my moka pot hated my new stove, not me personally

Moved apartments, same pot, same coffee, suddenly bitter disaster every morning. Finally realized the new electric burner ran way hotter than the old gas one. Lowered heat way down and stopped treating it like a speedrun and now it tastes normal again. Posting in case someone else is arguing with aluminum at 7am.

People act like moka pots are foolproof and I think those people are lying.

Moka pots punish impatience with incredible consistency.

This was my experience almost word for word.

Low and slow fixed mine too. Annoying because I wanted coffee faster, not better.

Exactly. I wanted convenience and got character development

Also check if the gasket is getting tired if it starts getting weird again.

The electric stove learning curve is real. My first month tasted like regret.
