bus driver waited while a kid chased down his science project volcano

Morning route, everybody half awake, paper mache mountain rolling down the sidewalk like it wanted freedom. Driver saw the kid sprinting, opened the door back up, and the whole bus started cheering when he got there. Tiny thing, maybe 40 seconds. The mood on that bus was weirdly golden after.
