MSFT might be the only giant tech name I can own without narrating a sci-fi future

What I like is boring: enterprise contracts, annoying software nobody rips out, cloud that still has room, and a balance sheet that doesn't make me squint. The AI story probably helps, but even without that I can explain why the machine keeps printing.

Maybe the upside won't be the flashiest from here. That's okay. I have enough exciting mistakes already.

They've survived being called dead money, evil empire, too old, too consumer, too enterprise. Very annoying company to bet against.

Only pushback is valuation. Quality gets used as a permission slip to ignore any price.

True. I like it way more as a forever hold than as a fresh huge buy.

I work in IT. Nobody throws out Microsoft, they just add more Microsoft.

This is how I describe it too: expensive-ish toll booth for office work.
