should I sell stocks if I might need a house deposit in 2 years?

This is the first time my vague long-term plan has collided with a real-life timeline. Some money is in broad ETFs, some in a couple random stocks from my learning phase. If I may need the cash in roughly two years, should I already be de-risking?

Not asking for certainty, just how you'd think about that horizon.

Yeah the 'sleep' part is hitting me harder than the math part

The random learning stocks are the easiest call for me. house money should not depend on your old experiments

I derisked over six months before my apartment purchase and slept way better.

This is less about expected return and more about how wrecked you'd feel if the market picked that window to be awful.

Two years is not long in stock-market years. I'd personally get boring fast.
