anyone else have an options regret story tied to SNOW specifically or am I uniquely gifted

I bought calls into earnings because I convinced myself a quality software name coming off prior pain would get rewarded on 'good enough.' Instead I got a very expensive lesson in how much is already embedded in expectations even after a stock has fallen a lot.

Would love to hear other dumb but educational options mistakes so I feel less singular.

SNOW premiums have been rich enough to fund a minor renovation.

I sell tiny call spreads now because naked optimism had to be put on a leash.

My lesson was stop buying short dated calls on quality names just because they're down from old highs.

Yep. 'Down a lot' is not the same as 'cheap enough for options.'

I bought puts on a 'bad setup' once and the company gave mediocre guidance, stock still went up. Options are a cruelty lab.

You're not unique, just enrolled in the same tuition program as the rest of us.

The market can agree with your direction and still ruin your contract.
