my first red week was physically embarrassing

I knew in theory that stocks go down. Very mature, very rational, etc. Then my account was down less than the cost of a nice dinner and I was refreshing it in the office bathroom like civilization was ending.

Beginner nerves are wild. It got better, but wow.
