road trip setup in the back seat?

Safety discourse aside, what are people *actually* using for medium to long drives? I want something practical for monthly family trips, not an aspirational setup I'll abandon after two weekends.

Bench cover only because my dog screams if visually restrained too much.

Hammock + seat belt tether. Cleans fast, dog seems comfy.

Crate in the cargo area if you have the space. Less messy, less distracting.
