what do you pack for an 8 hour drive besides the obvious stuff?

Doing Nashville to Asheville with my 5 year old rescue next weekend. I have water, bowls, leash, meds, poop bags, blanket. Looking for the small thing you forgot once and now never travel without.

Unscented baby wipes. not glamorous, absurdly useful.

A copy of the rabies cert on your phone. Nobody has asked me for it until suddenly they did.

Cheap slip lead as backup. My regular leash clip broke at a gas station one time and I still think about it.

Old towel. Mud happens, mystery drool happens, life happens.

If your dog gets weird in hotel rooms, bring one familiar pillowcase. Smell matters more than the fancy bed in my experience.

Pillowcase is smart. adding wipes and backup slip lead right now. thank you
