do you sell RSUs as they vest or keep some?

My company stock has done fine, not rocketship fine. I get a small vest every quarter. Half the people at work act like selling immediately is obvious, the other half talk about 'believing in the mission' like the mission pays my dentist. Curious how normal humans think about this.

Believing in the mission is for all-hands slides. Diversification is for your actual life.

Would you buy that much of your company stock today in cash? If no, that's a clue.

Tax details matter a bit depending where you are, but the single-stock risk point is the big one.

'would I buy it today' is annoyingly good. stealing that

I sold on vest because I already had job risk tied to the same company. Concentration scares me.

I keep a small piece for fun and sell the rest. Splits the psychological difference.
