34, first serious rebalance after one stock got way too cute

I had one individual stock as a 'fun' 8% side position. Fast forward and it became 22% because apparently fun compounds. I finally sold enough to bring it back under 10 and moved the rest into boring index funds.

Now sitting at:
- 72% broad equity funds
- 8% individual stock leftovers
- 10% bonds
- 10% cash

Posting because I almost talked myself out of trimming with all the usual winner-story nonsense.

Expensive lesson, cheap compared to a later blow-up.

Did taxes hurt?

A little, but less than the anxiety was hurting

Good job. Single-stock winners are the hardest to trim because success makes them feel smart.

This is exactly why position limits matter.
