Is bull market FOMO worse when you already made the mistake once?

I sat out a bunch of nonsense last cycle, got to feel prudent, then watched multiple friends with worse risk management outperform me by accident. Now every time some sector wakes up I can feel my brain trying to re-run that pain.

Preset size sounds healthier than my current method which is white-knuckling

I combat it by having preset sizes for dumb trades. Tiny enough that if it nukes, who cares.

Honestly the pain of chasing late is worse than the pain of missing. Took me two cycles to learn that.
