some days I feel guilty for choosing a persian knowing the whole flat-face thing

some days I feel guilty for choosing a persian knowing the whole flat-face thing
Olive is from a rescue, not a breeder, before anyone starts. But between eye care, snoring, and the occasional open-mouth pant after zoomies, I get this pit in my stomach wondering if I signed up a cat for harder mode. Vet says she's stable and happy. I just wonder if other flat-face owners wrestle with that guilt.

Rescuing the cat in front of you is not the same as creating the problem.

My rescue persian changed my mind on buying brachycephalic animals, but never on caring for the one I had.
