did reusable rockets get normalized too fast for the public to appreciate how absurd they are

Ten years ago a booster landing itself upright looked like sci-fi trailer stuff. Now a lot of normal people barely blink unless something explodes. Maybe that's just what progress looks like, but sometimes I feel like we speedran from miracle to background noise.
