camping with a dog is just saying 'leave it' in front of scenic views

We did one night near Flagstaff and my spaniel-ish gremlin spent the whole trip trying to adopt everyone else's breakfast bun. Beautiful pines, cold stars, me whisper-yelling 'not your sausage' at 6:12 am. Still worth it. But wow the funny stories people tell about serene camping dogs? not my ministry.
