Stock Talk · by Liam Wilson · 2026-09-28

sold META way too early and now I get to watch my caution from the sidelines

I bought when everyone was dunking on the metaverse spend, then sold after a decent bounce because I told myself I was being disciplined. Turns out I was just traumatized from 2022 and couldn't imagine sentiment fully flipping.

This is not a complaint about taking profit. It's a complaint about pretending a tiny gain was a process when really it was fear wearing glasses.

The hardest stocks to hold are the ones that embarrassed you first.

Oh there was plenty of vibes in mine too, just with better vocabulary.

Market has a special talent for making the prudent version of you look like the least fun person alive.

This is why I scale out in tiny pieces. Lets me be half wrong instead of fully dramatic.

I did the same with META and then chased it back way higher. Double clown makeup.
