is COST the ultimate 'quality at any price' trap or is that just me coping?

Every dip I think maybe now. Then I zoom out and realize the market has basically charged a premium for discipline, member loyalty, and operational competence for as long as I can remember.

If you own Costco, how do you justify it beyond 'great store, love samples'? Real question.

I think COST holders outsource timing entirely. They just buy excellence and go walk the dog.

The stock is never cheap enough for value people and never bad enough for them to stop staring at it.

Samples are not in my model but spiritually they probably should be.

I finally bought after years of whining and it immediately became less stressful than half my so-called bargains.

This is annoyingly persuasive.

The justification is they earn trust in an industry where trust usually gets competed away.
