Post-merge Ethereum feels cleaner but less 'punk,' anyone else

Maybe this is nostalgia talking. I like lower energy use and I don't miss miner drama, but some intangible part of the old messy machine feeling is gone for me. It's probably irrational, but crypto is half irrational attachment anyway.

Feels like going from a garage band to a public company. Better run, less romance.

I know what you mean. PoW had this gritty 'machines doing math in basements' mythology.

Not irrational. Systems have vibes and people get attached to them.

Cleaner is good though. I'd rather have less punk and more sustainable.

Garage band to public company is exactly the feeling, wow.
