what are people using for forms now that every tutorial says something different

React app, decent amount of validation, some dynamic fields, nothing especially exotic. Feels like every six months the internet decides forms were solved by a totally different library. Still happy with react-hook-form? Going back to plain controlled inputs? Something else?

The real trick is deleting half the validation you thought you needed.

Boring answer: plain inputs plus zod on submit has been enough for a lot of internal tools.

If you have array fields, test the nasty edge cases early. Thats where every form lib starts showing teeth.

react-hook-form until the shape gets truly deranged. Then I start questioning my life choices, not the library.
