caught an ISS flyover from the middle of the city and got unexpectedly emotional
Light pollution, traffic noise, somebody arguing outside the kebab shop, and then this steady bright point scooting across the sky carrying humans. I've seen flyovers before but something about it landing in the middle of a very ordinary night hit me differently. Space stuff can still cut through cynicism once in a while.
