Stock Talk · by Theo Bennett · 2026-10-02

DIS keeps daring me to average down and I keep pretending that's discipline

I own a starter that became a larger starter because nostalgia is apparently part of my process. Parks are strong, brands are still powerful, and yet the market keeps asking whether any of that matters if streaming math stays messy and the company looks strategically split-brained.

I haven't added in a while. Mostly because I can no longer tell if I believe in a turnaround or just remember childhood very fondly.

The parks quality is real, but the stock keeps reminding us great assets don't automatically mean great equity returns.

I sold because I got tired of waiting for one clean strategy.

That's kind of where I am now. Too many good pieces, not enough coherent whole.
