usb-c dock recs that wont roast a laptop or drop ethernet twice a day

M2 Air for work, one 4k monitor, keyboard, webcam, ethernet. I do not need 19 ports and a glowing logo, I need a boring little brick that stays connected. Budget is flexible because I'm tired of unplugging/replugging before standup every morning.

Whatever you buy, update the firmware first. A lot of dock pain is ancient firmware.

My Anker one has been fine but only after I stopped daisy chaining adapters like a goblin.

Also check the cable. Seriously. I blamed a dock for a month and it was a flaky cable.
