stayed up for a launch scrub and somehow still had a great night

Nothing actually left the pad. Weather said no, everybody packed up, stream ended. And yet sitting there with snacks and group chat open waiting for something very difficult to maybe happen was weirdly satisfying. Space fandom has trained me to accept anticlimax as part of the hobby I guess.

Accurate. I celebrated a good tanking test like it was a touchdown

I once dragged a lawn chair out for a scrub and still called it a good evening.

Real launch fans know half the experience is windows, holds, and weather maps.

A scrub means the system worked enough to refuse dumb risk. That's still cool.
