TIL some washers pause themselves if towels clump weirdly… or mine is haunted?

New apartment, front loader, keeps stopping mid-cycle and redistributing like it has standards. Googled it and apparently uneven loads can trigger a safety thing? Did everybody else know this except me?

Top loaders used to beat the towels into submission. Front loaders are more diplomatic.

Yeah mine does that with bath mats. It gets offended by heavy wet noodles.
