sold the condo, can't decide between REITs and just more index funds

Finally unloaded a condo I rented out after moving cities. After fees and paying off the tiny remaining mortgage I'll net around 94k. Emotionally I want some of it back in real estate because that's what the money was. Rationally I know cash doesn't have a past life.

Current portfolio ex-sale proceeds:
VTI 49%
VXUS 18%
BND 18%
cash 9%
VNQ 3%
BTC 3%

Would you treat sale proceeds as just more capital and dump according to plan, or carve out a bigger REIT slice because I clearly still have property brain?

Cash doesn't have a past life is going straight into my notes app.

You can scratch the itch with a small REIT sleeve and still mostly follow plan.

If owning property annoyed you, why buy property-shaped securities out of nostalgia?

Property brain is so real after a sale

It really is. My brain keeps saying this money came from walls so it wants more walls.

I would revisit target allocation first, not the origin story of the dollars.
