what's your actual sell discipline for big winners once they hit silly size?

My problem isn't buying anymore. It's what happens after something works. I either trim too early and feel cute-but-poor later, or I let it become 20%+ of the account because I don't want to interrupt compounding.

How do you all handle this without just making up reasons after the fact?

Tax consequences matter. I know that answer is less fun than secret chart wisdom.

Less fun maybe, more real definitely.

No perfect answer because the pain is either regret now or risk later.

Quarterly review. If it's too big, trim a little no matter how in love I am.

I have hard max position sizes. Boring rule, saves me from theater.

What ruined me was seeing old ten baggers I sold at double. Now I use partial exits only.

I sell enough to remove the emotional charge. Weirdly effective.
