anyone survive separation anxiety after going back to office?

My dachshund Fritz was fine when I worked from home. New job means 3 days in office and apparently I created a tiny panic sausage. Camera shows pacing, howling, then licking the crate tray. We already do frozen food toys and a dog walker at lunch. Vet visit is booked next week, but I'd love real-life stories because I feel awful.

Ask your vet about whether the crate is making the panic worse. Mine did better loose in one room.

We had to practice fake departures like 20 times a day. Pick up keys, sit back down, repeat forever.

Yes, but not with one magic trick. It was training + meds + a brutally boring routine.

Don't beat yourself up. Plenty of pandemic dogs got hit by this.

Needed to hear that, thank you. The guilt is real.

Tiny breeds can be LOUD when stressed. My neighbor thought I had a smoke alarm issue.
