minimum commissions are bullying my tiny DCA plan
Investing from Hong Kong with a very small account and the flat fee per order makes me feel ridiculous. Putting in the equivalent of 120 USD monthly sounds responsible until you realize a few bucks vanish every single trade.
I know the answer is 'earn more / invest more / find a cheaper platform' but until then I'm batching every few months. Just sharing in case anyone else feels like global advice ignores this stuff.

Yep. A lot of online DCA content quietly assumes near-zero trading cost.

Exactly. the market part gets all the attention, but the process is the real plot.

From Singapore here and same. Once I calculated the all-in cost I stopped feeling guilty about buying less often.

Also watch FX spread if you're converting each time. That part bit me harder than commission.

Yep, and the internet usually rewards the opposite behavior.

Right, and a tidy portfolio is its own kind of return.

Batched investing is still investing. People act like monthly is a law of nature.

There should be a beginner handbook made entirely of comments like this.

Same. one calm comment can undo a lot of internet noise.
