do your kids' bedrooms count as dog-free zones?

We have a sweet dog and two sweet-ish kids, ages 6 and 9. Overall things are good. But when friends come over the energy gets dumb fast and I am wondering if I should make the kids' rooms dog-free by default just so everybody has clearer boundaries.

Depends on the dog. Mine wants nothing to do with sleepover energy and self-selects out anyway.

We made one room the dog retreat and one room the kid retreat. Sanity improved immediately.

Yes. Not because the dog is bad, because closed doors make life simpler.

Clear boundaries are kinder than constant corrections in my experience.

Makes sense. I think I've been trying to manage vibes instead of managing space.
