copied a finfluencer portfolio and spent the next six months babysitting it

It had thematic ETFs, two semiconductor names, one shipping stock, gold, and cash 'for opportunities'. Looked cool in a screenshot. Felt awful living with it.

Now I'm convinced one of the most expensive beginner mistakes is borrowing somebody else's complexity.
