I'm rethinking my backup setup and wondering what people prefer in practice. Not exact hiding places obviously, just general philosophy.

Scavenger hunt under stress is my fear too

Yeah, I keep oscillating between redundancy and not wanting to outsmart myself

I like two locations because house stuff happens, but I keep the overall setup dead simple.

More locations can reduce disaster risk but increase your own complexity risk. There's no free lunch.
